Shenandoah University maintains an outpatient health center and provides outpatient medical treatment for acute and minor illness and injury.
The Wilkins Wellness Center strives to provide cost effective quality primary and acute care, health education and prevention services for all of our students. We participate with most major commercial insurances such as Aetna, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna, United, and many others. We are pleased to announce that we accept most federal plans such as Medicaid (in or out of state for MD and WV), CHiPs, TRICARE, or Medicare.
Student Health PortalBilling Process:
- CompuMed will produce a bill for all services rendered in the WWC which will be emailed to the student following payment from the insurance company. It will contain all the necessary information for you to complete online payment or to pay via check payment for your portion of the bill if there is any. A contact number and detailed information for CompuMed will be on the bill should you have any questions.
- The only charge to a student account will be for PPDs (a type of Tuberculosis test), provided in the clinic; this is not billed to insurance.
- We will collect all copays and deductibles.
- We have a needs-based, sliding-scale discount program for those students who may need financial relief for the services provided at the WWC.
- The eligibility program is managed by our billing organization, CompuMed. The discounts can be as high as 100%.
WWC staff are not able to assist you with your bill. All information regarding billing will be managed by CompuMed’s dedicated Shenandoah University staff who can be reached at 701-282-0081 or via email at info@compumedbillingservices.com.
Campus medical services are not intended to meet the needs of serious illness or accident.
